Season Overview

Our first season at 918 Bathurst was all about joining forces; creating new community while maintaining long-standing relationships.

This season marked a new beginning. We’d moved venues a few times before, so this is no existential crisis for us, but a thrilling new chapter. Almost a year ago the theme of “Resistance” had been chosen for this season’s X Avant festival. Little did we know it would seem to be a metaphor for our venue struggle: it is our responsibility to hold space and join forces with fellow artists.
