X Avant XIII: The Halluci Nation

Our guest curator for X Avant XIII was Bear Witness of A Tribe Called Red. The festival theme drew on their album We Are The Halluci Nation.

“I am looking at this festival as an opportunity to extend the arms of the Halluci Nation to include some of the artists that I feel are already doing work in line with its values” said Bear. “It is a future history given to inform the past. It is a rallying cry to all nations. We need to learn from things almost forgotten. We need to learn what it is to be human again and how to treat others as human.”
