You in Mind: Melissa Joakim at the Music Gallery June 11, 2022

You In Mind

M. Joakim

Concert in Emergents Series

An exploration of electronic disciplines, where lights and music work in harmony.

Lighting designer and composer M. Joakim performs a concert exploring sound and light. The show is a synthesis of electronic disciplines using a live set of hardware-generated electronic music, which triggers a light show through a one-to-one signal. Beams of light hang in the air while washes of soothing tones and colour transform the room. M. Joakim plays the electric mediums in real time just after sunset.

This event is a production in You In Mind, a new 5-part series by the Music Gallery dedicated to artists whose projects or organizations are not supported by public funding or otherwise do not have the means to present in venues of our scale.
