Ever considered applying to grants but wonder, where do I begin?
This workshop is designed to open conversation about granting from a community perspective. Centered on the feeling of “how to get grants if you feel like you can’t get grants,” this 90 minute workshop is about making space for artists of all disciplines to dream big, build confidence, and learn how to scope creative ideas for the purpose of granting.
This truly is a 100 level course on the concept of granting. No dull portals. No boring rules. This is a place to think outside of the box and learn how to make your art present as fundable.
Topics may include:
• Where do you find grants
• How to toot your own horn
• Ways to learn from rejection
• Key points your application should include
Run by multi-disciplinary artist Jason Doell and following a Q&A with Jason, David Dacks and Sanjeet Takhar, this program is a non-judgemental space to ask questions, voice your worries, and find like minded artists.
