The More You Noise

Thank you to the audience members and supporters of the Music Gallery this past year! It’s been a lively season that would not have been possible without you. Every event is a new opportunity to gather, listen, and explore, and we are grateful for each and every encounter.

Behind the scenes, we’ve also had something exciting brewing: the opportunity to work more closely with/as artists! We hosted an expanded residency program in January and February with hundreds of artists and workshop participants; multi-day rehearsals and mentorships took place surrounding 10 Ragas to a Disco Beat, and Arnold Dreyblatt’s Orchestra of Excited Strings; and the youth-oriented workshop Six Turntables facilitated by Chris Willes and Akash Bansal launched our season with an elaborate multi-generational sonic event.

As we continue to grow, we have been putting more resources into the development of creative practices and performances, which is a direction we are actively pursuing and expanding.

Looking ahead, we invite donations to our campaign, The More You Noise, to support our work as we cultivate experimentation and community through sound, music and sharing in the creative process. Your contributions are essential to support artists, venues, and our staff team, all of which make each event more meaningful and Toronto an even more creative, forward-thinking city.
