Job Posting

We're Hiring: Front of House Staff

Application Deadline: Thursday, February 1

Basic Information:

The Music Gallery has been at the centre of experimental music and community-building in Toronto for nearly 50 years. We program a variety of concerts, festivals, workshops, and residencies each season, and welcome thousands of participants. There are community members who have been with the Music Gallery from the beginning, and new audiences join every year.

As a front of house staff you would be a vital member of the Music Gallery event team, welcoming and orienting audiences as they arrive. Front of house helps to create a positive and safe environment during Music Gallery events, making it possible for folks to gather and share in each artistic experience.

During an event you would either manage the box office (which includes ticket sales, artist merchandise, and memberships) or the bar (serving snacks and drinks). All front of house staff receive training in order to alternate between these two roles.

As the ideal front of house candidate, you are a lover of diverse approaches to experimental music and its various communities. You value a flexible schedule and enjoy working with a diverse range of people.
