Pierre Kwenders: José Louis and The Paradox of Love album launch

Concert in Co-presentations Series

José Louis and The Paradox of Love is singer-songwriter Pierre Kwenders’ most personal project to date. At the intersection of Congolese rumba, electronic music and jazz-infused progressions, this new album is both an embrace of African musical tradition and a swerve into immaculate emotional territory. From the sensual beats, to the mellow yet powerful singing, by way of intimate interludes, the 13-song collection offers more than a simple window into the world of José Louis Modabi (aka Pierre Kwenders). The door is wide open and floating in the air is this everlasting feeling of hope and complete sense of freedom.
