An Important Announcement from the Music Gallery
After much consideration and internal discussion, the Music Gallery has decided not to host the balance of the 2019/2020 season. Some presentations are cancelled, others are postponed. Please check the list below.
As the federal government has encouraged us to self-isolate in the best interest of the greater population, we at the Music Gallery feel it is our responsibility to ensure we not only comply but also encourage our patrons and artist family to do the same.
Affected events are:
Cancelled:
April 7 – History Series – York University Archives Show and Tell
April 17 – Amirtha Kidambi & Lea Bertucci + Joyful Joyful + Memory Pearl
April 25 – Emergents III: VASO + Unquartet
May 16 – Music Gallery Fundraiser – Side Hustle Market
> For these cancelled events we will offer refunds, or issue charitable tax receipts for donated ticket amounts upon request. Please contact kayla@musicgallery.org by Monday April 13th to have a refund or tax receipt issued. Please note that it may take 2-4 weeks to process.
Postponed:
April 19 – Daniela Gesundheit “Alphabet of Wrongdoing” album release
April 26 – Lenka Lichtenberg “The Thieves Of Dreams”
June 5 – Continuum “Show Room”
June 20 – Din of Shadows VI “Mortal Chorus”
> For these postponed events we will offer refunds upon request, or honour your ticket for the rescheduled date. At this time, the Music Gallery has not rescheduled these postponed events to specific dates. Please contact kayla@musicgallery.org by Monday April 13th to have a refund issued. Please note that it may take 2-4 weeks to process.
We at Music Gallery are working hard to do our part as a community organization. All artists and producers involved in these events will receive their full pay. As a not-for-profit organization, we are dependent on ticket sales to continue putting forward great artistic presentations. We understand these might be difficult economic times and the Music Gallery does encourage those that need to request a refund. However, if you have the means, please consider not refunding your tickets as a way to support the Music Gallery through your donation.
Please follow our social media accounts, listed below, where we hope to announce new dates for the postponed season, as well as where we are sharing creative ways to continue to support the arts and artists.
To our community, we encourage you to stay home, stay positive and stay healthy.
