Concrete Toronto Music is the Music Gallery's original concert of new music created in response to Toronto's legacy of concrete architecture. This Sunday (May 25), we relocate for one night only to the Polish Combatants Hall, a concrete-clad banquet hall up the street on Beverley (south of College). Come hear new works by composer Erik Ross (performed by Carla Huhtanen and Wallace Halladay), sound artist Knurl with visuals by Scott M2, electronics/visual duo Smith & Wiernik (also making their live debut), and a special new collaboration between singer-songwriters Sandro Perri and Tony Dekker of Great Lake Swimmers. The evening will be capped off by a set by free improvisers and Toronto musical institutions, CCMC. If you miss this one, you'll have another chance to see the concert on the afternoon of June 1st, at the Ontario Science Centre.
